From Aqaba to the World: The Evolution of Noah’s ARTery

Before there was Noah’s ARTery, there was a physical sanctuary in the coastal city of Aqaba known as Arts of Sham Countries.

Located in a bustling, vibrant tourist hub by the Red Sea, the gallery was a haven for travelers from across the globe. They would wander in from the intense heat of the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern sun, seeking a quiet moment. What they found inside was not a typical souvenir shop, but a deeply curated collection of original oil paintings that held the very heartbeat of the Levant (the Sham region).

Back then, visitors knew me as Aboud. My mission was the same then as it is now: to ensure that the travelers who fell in love with our region could take a genuine piece of its soul home with them.

A Sanctuary for the Traveling Soul

Running a physical gallery in a high-traffic tourist destination taught me everything I know about what art collectors truly crave.

Years later, my own journey took me away from the Red Sea and brought me to Europe. With that transition came a new chapter, a new perspective, and a new name: Noah.

But the core of who I am—and the core of what I curate—has never changed.

I realized that the desire for authentic, deeply textured art wasn’t limited to the travelers walking the streets of Aqaba. There is a global diaspora longing for a connection to their roots. There are travelers worldwide who regret not having the time to commission a piece before their flight home.

That is why Arts of Sham Countries evolved into Noah’s ARTery.

Today, Noah’s ARTery is an international platform that brings the gallery directly to you. We represent a collective of masterful artists—from those I worked with back in Aqaba to incredible new talents across the globe. Together, we continue to capture the heavy impasto stones, the silent narratives, and the travelling souls of the places we love.
