This is a mixed-media painting. Right in the center, the artist used a real piece of woven fabric—like a fishing net—layered directly onto the canvas to form the ancient city. Above the buildings, the sky is painted in these beautiful, overlapping wavy patterns that look exactly like the sea rolling overhead. The physical texture of the net makes the city feel grounded, while the sky feels fluid and moving.

“You really have to look closely at this one. The fact that Mo Rikuai used an actual net to build the city naturally makes you think of the coast and the fishermen who work there. But my favorite part is looking up at the top, where the sky itself is painted like rolling ocean waves. It feels like the sea and the city are completely wrapped up in each other. It’s a beautiful way to show how a coastal homeland shapes everything, even the sky above it.”

Refund Policy

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–14 business days after the returned item has been received and inspected.
Shipping charges, customs duties, and payment processing fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase, provided that processing or shipment has not yet begun.
Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled and must instead follow the return procedure.
Custom-made, commissioned, or personalised items cannot be cancelled once production has started.
Return Policy
Items may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Returned items must be unused, in their original condition, and in the original packaging.
The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect.
Returns that do not meet these conditions may be refused.
Exchange Policy
Exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery for defective, damaged, or incorrectly supplied items.
Exchanges for a different size, colour, or product are subject to availability.
Custom-made, commissioned, personalised, and final-sale items are not eligible for exchange.
