What draws me to this piece is the stunning contrast in the artist’s palette. The heavy, sculpted impasto layers of the stone wall are painted in soft, pale shades of lavender, grey, and rose. I chose this painting because it shows a softer, more intimate side of our shared Levantine and Mediterranean heritage.
